May 11th Nebraska Outbreak

Cordova Area Tornadoes

Juston Drake and Simon Brewer documented a large tornadic HP supercell & two tornadoes over southeastern Nebraska on 11 May 2014. Many of the tornadoes were wrapped in heavy rainfall and shrouded in low inflow clouds making them difficult if not impossible to see from many vantage points. We were able to verify and see for a short time a large wedge-shaped EF3 tornado near Cordova, NE and a small cone tornado north of Fairmont, NE. This storm was a cyclic machine producing many tornadoes from Clay Center to north of Lincoln.
