2010 Texas Panhandle Tornado Outbreak
April
22, 2010: Simon Brewer and Juston Drake documented multiple tornadoes
in the Texas Panhandle.
Report:
Supercell
thunderstorms began developing across the Texas Panhandle, eastern Colorado,
and western Kansas on the afternoon of April 22, 2010. The combination
of shear and instability across this region was conducive for a tornado
outbreak. Many tornadoes tornadoes (40 reports from the SPC) were reported
in Colorado, Kansas and the Texas Panhandle. Simon and Juston documented
multiple tornadoes along the I-40 corridor in the Texas Panhandle.
