There was a strong cap this day. We waited in Alva, OK for a few hours. We ended up calling Channel 5 for some data, and were basically told nothing was going to happen. We were rather dissapointed. So, we headed back to norman sometime around 6 pm, don't recall the exact time.

Sure enough, a tornadic supercell formed in southern central Kansas just before sunset! Had we stayed in Alva and waited, we wouldn't have caught it before dark. However, we would at least have pictures of the supercell. We were pretty pissed off about that.

Well, there I am (Jim) looking for a tower in the distance. Tom is behind me, wearing the hat.

There are Simon and Tom, standing in front of a field, also wishing something would go up!
